K1 Tyne Dock Loco.
B2 'Cock of the North'
The story behind this Loco is that the original owner of the actual locomotive was to have named it 'Central Star'. It was based on the Great Central Line near Leicester. The plates were made but never put on.
Because it was finished in BR Green he got involved with a dispute with The National Railway Museum as they claimed the livery for their original 'Evening Star'.
When Leicester City won the Premier League last year it was decided to name the ACE locomotive to honour that achievement and make the livery similar to the club shirt.
The owner of Leicester City is Thai which was a further factor and a model will be presented to him for the club.
